This Week's Program: Tierney Titus

"Faith Kids: Children and Family Bereavement"

Tierney Titus, a certified child life specialist (CCLS) for 10 years, recently joined the Faith Presbyterian Hospice team. A CCLS is a certified healthcare provider who increases coping and decreases anxieties for children and families experiencing healthcare related stressors for themselves or loved ones. In her role at FPH, Tierney serves bereaved children to help them navigate the grief and bereavement process through one-on-one sessions, monthly peer support groups and a family grief camp in the summer.

Tierney graduated Summa Cum Laude from Otterbein University with a B.S. in Psychology.  She has been a guest speaker at Dallas Children's Theater on the topic of self-harm, bullying and Cyber bullying with middle school, high school, and adult audiences.

NOTES FROM DAVID

New Member Alert!
Anne Capps rejoined our club last week and won the raffle!  Welcome Anne! We are delighted to have you with us!

Social Media Update
We have a subscription with SocialBU which allows us to update all of our social media accounts simultaneously. That is, Facebook, LinkedIn, BlueSky, X, and Instagram. Currently, Charlie, John, and I have access, but I'd be delighted to add any of you to the account if you want to help with our Social Media Management.

Please follow us on all of your social media accounts. It will help us drive impressions.

We've modified some of the videos from Rotary International so it displays our club name and website. We posted one and will post more in the future. Hope you've noticed.

We have four new images to help raise donations and raffle ticket sales (below). I emailed them to you all via clubrunner. They are based on some RMHD posters. Let me know if you didn't get them and want them. We are using these on social media, also. One of the success keys for social media is repetition. If you're using social media to get people to donate, post a couple times. Buy and sell raffle tickets: https://addisonrotary.ejoinme.org/MyEvents/AddisonRotaryOpen2025/

September 4 Awards Banquet
A strong club turnout would be great. We have several people nominated for significant awards. And of course we're nominated for Club of the Year. Come cheer our club and the people we've nominated. It will be fun because we'll all be there together. Here's the link to register:  https://rotary5810.org/events/2025-district-awards-banquet

District Governor Nomination Committee
Many in our club are Past Presidents. The nominating committee for District Governor has slots for Past Presidents. Would any of you be willing to do this? Let me know. I would like for our club to help select this position and drive some change at the District level.

See you Friday!

Make it a great day!
