This Week's Program:
Willette Jackson
"Urban Forestry - Texas Trees Foundation"
Willette Jackson holds a bachelor's degree in environmental design from Auburn University and nearly a decade of experience in urban forestry. She is driven by a deep commitment to people and the pursuit of equitable green spaces.
Her work with environmental nonprofits has empowered her to serve as a catalyst for social and environmental justice. She's had the privilege of supporting communities in developing and sustaining healthier, more equitable green spaces -- improving quality of life through education, awareness, stewardship, and job opportunities.
She is currently pursuing a master's degree in public policy from UTD, with the goal of shaping and implementing more equitable and effective socioeconomic systems.
Willette serves as the Assistant Community Engagement Manager at the Texas Trees Foundation.
Several of our club members, as well as Janelle Twyford, our assistant district governor, and her husband, worked with a non-profit called Faith & Grief last Saturday. We wove these panels out of ribbons made with personalized messages expressing remembrances of loved ones who had passed away. They will be incorporated into a work of art called "The River of Time".

NOTES FROM DAVID
Volunteering at Faith & Grief
We had a great time volunteering at Faith & Grief last Saturday. What a terrific organization! Thanks to all who showed up, and to Laurie and Diane for arranging.
3.5 Weeks to go!
We're just 3 and a half weeks from the Addison Rotary Open. We need a strong push to maximize our contribution to the Ronald McDonald House. If you haven't bought or sold raffle tickets, please do so now. If you're at a restaurant, spa, nail salon, or other business, ask for a gift card. Please reach out to anyone you know who can make a donation to the tournament.
District Governor Nomination Committee
Many in our club are Past Presidents. The nominating committee for District Governor has slots for Past Presidents. Would any of you be willing to do this? Let me know. I would like for our club to help select this position and drive some change at the District level.
