Notes From David...

I enjoyed learning more about our new members Charlie Brown and Chris Freis last week. Thank you both for being willing to do that! We have amazing members!

The video is done! We will debut it this week in our meeting. Please note the following:
  • Bill Dendy, the District Foundation Chair, paid for this. I am hoping he can attend. It was WONDERFUL for him to sponsor this, and I am very grateful for his support.
  • Regina Edwards, our District Governor, will be attending our meeting, and I'm pleased that she will get to see the debut.
  • As with any video production, we shot more video than we would be able to use. I mention that because our video editor, Chris Levario, had to cut a fair amount to get the video to the goal of 30 seconds. That means there is a possibility that you are not in the video.  Don't be offended.  Chris had to make hard choices. Similarly, if you are in the video and don't like how you look, you'll have to take it up with your agent and the Screen Actors Guild :)
There was a meeting of our district's Presidents. One of the clubs has had good experience with membership growth by attending networking events: chamber of commerce, BNI, etc. That's a great idea! If any of you are members of the Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce or other networking groups, I'd like to talk with you about getting our name in front of that group.

I'm looking forward to seeing you in person Friday! As John Gilchrist used to say, "the best way to start your weekend is with the Addison Rotary!"

Make it a great day!
--David
