Notes From David...
I am delighted to inform you that last week's speaker, and our former member, Mike Holmberg, submitted his application to rejoin us. His application has been approved by the board. Per the bylaws, the club members now have 10 days to object (not that I can imagine anyone objecting to this!) Hopefully we will have his join ceremony in our March 7 meeting. Do you think we should offer the beautiful Aspen an Honorary Membership? ;)
Speaking of membership... Our district has a membership challenge this year with a prize: A Princess Alaskan Cruise for two. You get tickets (chances to win) by inviting potential members to attend our club meeting and even more tickets when they join. The new member also gets tickets. Details are here: https://rotary5810.org/sitepage/membership-drive Wendy Seale is tracking and submitting the counts to our district. So... invite potential members and encourage people to join us. We've enjoyed strong membership growth this year. It would be wonderful if one of our club won the cruise.
Dan Tatum said that he's received suggestions and introductions for speakers following my recent request. Thank you all for doing that. Please send him more. Think about who you know that would be a good speaker, or people that you heard about in the news. I gave him one speaker that is now on the schedule and I am searching for more. We need to build out the schedule through the rest of the year.
In our recent board meeting we approved the Board Nominating Committee's recommendations for next year's board. The nominating committee was Cathy Zelzer, Fritzie Roop, Gene Leposki and me. The candidates are:

- Sargeant At Arms - Wayne Emerson
- International Service - Hamid Khaleghipour

- Public Relations - Chartell Brown

- Social Director - Fritzie Roop
- Membership - Wendy Seale
- Vice President - Dan Tatum
This is a very strong group! If approved by the club in our next meeting, they will join the board with Gene Leposki as president and me as past president. Thanks to all who agreed to serve!
