NOTES FROM DAVID 
What a Week!
I'm a bit stunned from everything that's happened within one week:
- Our club won District Club of the Year!
- Cathy Zelzer was named District Rotarian of the Year!
- Dan Tatum was recognized as our STAR Rotarian!
- I was named Outstanding President (this is because of all of you, not me)
- We set a record for fundraising for our Addison Rotary Open!
- Jimmy Perryman set an individual fundraising record!
- And we completed another GREAT Addison Rotary Open yesterday!
Any one of those accomplishments would be amazing on its own, but to have them all happen within one week is overwhelming. Wow - we ARE the King of Clubs! I am so proud to be associated with our club and all of you. By the way, we have prepared and will publish some press releases and social media posts for some of those items.
Addison Rotary Open
Kudos and Thank You to Greg Grimm and the ARO Team for all the hard work to deliver an outstanding event yesterday with amazing results. Also, thanks to everyone in the club for volunteering, selling raffle tickets, getting auction items, and showing up to volunteer at the event. As Cathy said yesterday "It takes a village", and we have an amazing village!
Oktoberfest
A big thank you to Keith Einstein for agreeing to be our Project Lead for Oktoberfest. We are going to collaborate with the Addison Midday Rotary to create and staff an "Addison Rotary Clubs" booth. Be sure to volunteer for this: it will be fun, we'll raise some money, and we might get some new members.
