Our August 16 Program: Aspire to Learn
Our speaker this week is Paul DiBiase, President and CEO of Aspire to Learn. Aspire is the result of a recent merger between Literacy Instruction For Texas (“LIFT”) and the Aberg Center for Literacy.  Dan Tatum reports "Aspire is my personal charity; I’ve been volunteering weekly with Aspire, and LIFT before that, since 2011.  Aspire supports adult literacy, GED prep, and ESL."

Paul is going to tell us about Aspire and their mission to promote adult literacy.

Addison Rotary Open Update
  • Sponsorships are at $170K versus $207K this time last year. We're a bit light.
  • Raffle is about the same as last year ($4K).  But the Green Team is killing the others and there are many members who haven't sold (or bought) any tickets. Don't make Kristen call you
  • Greg needs more items for the auction: restaurant certificates, sporting event tickets, more golf outings and services like massages and experiences.
  • Attend our club organization meeting for the ARO on September 6 (the Friday before the ARO).
  • Contact Fritzie to get your volunteer slot for the ARO on September 9.
