Notes From David...

As you can see, I have a personal reason to be very excited about our speaker this week! On two occasions, when I was about 10 and 13 in Congo, I briefly had a pet owl. Such amazing birds! Who doesn't like Raptors?

Speaking of speakers (hahaha) Dan Tatum has done an AMAZING job creating great programs for us. But we should view this as a collective effort. Please think about who you know or have heard of that would be a great speaker for us and give Dan the information.

Our new meetup.com group "The Addison Rotary Club" is generating a small amount of interest. It would be helpful if you would create your own MeetUp account (it's free) and sign up for our meeting dates. That will provide some social proof for the meetings. Otherwise, it looks like no one is attending.

Make it a great day!

Trivia answer:   Its inception dates back to 1959 when Rotarians in Queensland Australia organized an event to celebrate the centennial of statehood.  It was officially adopted by Rotary International in 1971.
