Cyndy and I are in Portland Oregon for a bit of vacation and seeing some friends. While here, I visited the Portland Pearl Rotary Club, which conveniently meets just a few blocks from our hotel. They are a large club, 60-some members, very active in their community, and recently sent a group of high school students to Canada for a conference. Last year they were the fastest-growing club in their district. Bonus for me: they did a Pie Fund Raiser for Pi Day and one of the winners brought a home-made pie to the meeting. Yes, I did have a DELICIOUS slice for breakfast! As you can see from the picture we swapped flags. It's interesting and fun to visit other Rotary Clubs. You learn more about where you're visiting, you meet some interesting people, and you get ideas for our club. We have plenty of Addison Rotary Flags if you ever visit another club.
I appreciate your patience with our meeting room situation. I believe we will have this resolved after our board meeting. Please don't discuss the situation with the Maguires team. I don't want any hurt feelings and we want to maintain a good relationship with them. They are professionals and are doing their best.
