Justice Tina Clinton Joins Addison Rotary Club
The Addison Rotary Club is pleased to welcome Justice Tina Clinton as its newest member, adding a distinguished public servant, educator, mentor, and community leader to the club’s growing membership.
Justice Tina Clinton currently serves on the Fifth District Court of Appeals, Place 9, an intermediate appellate court for the State of Texas. She previously served as presiding judge of Criminal District Court 1 and County Criminal Court 8 in Dallas County. Her legal career also includes service as a municipal judge, defense attorney, and prosecutor. In 2026, she began her 20th year as a judge.
Justice Clinton’s connection to Rotary began long before joining the Addison club. As a high school student, she participated in Rotary’s Four-Way Test Speech Contest and earned a scholarship through the program. Later, while serving in the Dallas District Attorney’s Office, she participated in a Rotary-sponsored program that allowed her to meet and work with judges and lawyers in South Korea.
Throughout her career, Justice Clinton has demonstrated a deep commitment to improving the communities she serves. In addition to her judicial work, she teaches throughout Texas for organizations including the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Center for the Judiciary, and she has taught nationally. She is one of the few judges in Texas to have had the honor of teaching at the College for New Judges.
Justice Clinton also serves on boards including the Texas Bar College, helped found the North Texas State Criminal Inn of Court, and actively mentors future and young lawyers through clerkships and collaborations with law schools.
The Addison Rotary Club welcomes Justice Clinton’s experience, service-minded leadership, and commitment to mentorship and civic engagement. Her background reflects Rotary’s ideal of “Service Above Self” and the club’s mission to strengthen communities locally and globally.
Outside of her professional and community service, Justice Clinton’s family grounds her and brings her joy. She also enjoys coffee, scuba diving, hiking, movies, dinners with friends, and video games.
