The Addison Rotary Club recently presented a check in the amount of $215,000 to the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas at the Club’s weekly Friday breakfast meeting. The check represented the proceeds from the annual Addison Rotary Open.
“We are so incredibly appreciative of the support from the Addison Rotary and this tournament. Thinking of this group reminds me of the Margaret Mead quote – ‘Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed individuals can change the world’”, said Jill Comnock, CEO of the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas.
Cathy Zelzer, Addison Rotary Open Chair, noted the wide support for the Addison Rotary Open. “More than 200 golfers attended, including Addison City Staff and Addison Council Members. Our online auction was widely supported by Addison businesses who generously contributed products and services to the auction. Our raffle was supported by individuals and businesses in Addison, and across the United States and Canada. It’s been a lot of work for a small club like ours, but it’s tremendously gratifying to help kids and families.”
“The Addison Rotary Club is a small, but mighty team,” said David Heimer, President of the Addison Rotary. “We’re always looking for new members so we can do even more in Addison and around the world. If you'd like to make a difference and have fun, then you should join us!”
